I've had two cranio sessions with Mary now, and I'm looking forward to the third next week. The first thing I noticed was actually the mental effect: The chatter and overwhelm in my mind went away, presumably because pain and other signals from my nervous system had stopped. I was so thrilled with that (and how productive the rest of my week was as a result) that I didn't notice that my back felt much better. Since the second appointment a week later, my jaw pain has diminished and I no longer have sharp pain around my right SI joint. I'm grateful for Mary's skill and caring hands.

This spring Mary and I participated in nine distance healing sessions together. It was a fascinating and powerful journey. Each session was very different and yet very impactful in different ways. My body experienced dramatic positive changes perhaps even more than it did from the in person sessions. Sometimes the changes involved bones shifting, and other times I was able to release a tremendous amount of tension/stress from my muscles that I didn’t realize I had been holding onto until I felt the release. Together these changes resulted in much improved posture, higher energy, and a more positive outlook for me. I found the sessions to be the highlight of each week. Mary Histing is a very knowledgeable,talented, and gifted therapist in her field. She participates in on going seminars & classes that allow her to bring a very solid knowledge of her profession to her clientele. Mary was recommended to me by my chiropractor to assist me further in my recovery process from a neck surgery gone awry. I had lost mobility in my neck, shoulders & upper body and was in continuous pain. I have been working with Mary in my recovery to heal. It is with her therapy that I have regained mobility and can live actively again without pain. She is also an incredibly teacher. I have learned a great deal about healing my body & how our muscles & structures work in concert to keep us moving in everyday life. I have also learned great lessons in patience & taking time to really pay close attention to my body in the healing process. Mary has been a wonderful guide in healing. Mary Histing, LLC is a very gifted woman. Her work as a CranioSacral Therapist and Energy Healer has helped me a great deal. When I first went to her for therapy, that was before my spine surgery, I was in a geat deal of pain and her healing touch reduced my pain significantly. After my surgery, she has significantly increased my balance, reduced my pain, and subsequently, I am able to walk more easily and do more things around the house and with the groups I've been working with over the years. Cranial Sacral Therapy has been like healing magic for me. It's simple and subtle and enables your body to begin releasing stress and pent up tension with just one session. I've been alternating Cranial Sacral Therapy with Mary's Deep Tissue trigger point work over the last year and so much of my hip, back, and neck issues have worked themselves out. These are simple tools to get your body into a self healing and recovery state and Mary is the perfect person to work with.

I started working with Mary Histing on a weekly basis in December of 2021. I was rear-ended at a traffic light and diagnosed as having mild to moderate whiplash. My chiropractor recommended cranial sacral work in partnership with chiropractic care. Mary’s office is a safe, comfortable space with the option for a heated table and a blanket, if needed, and ample parking available. She is very flexible with her appointments; I have a weekly Tuesday morning appointment, but there have been occasions where I needed to change days which was no problem with advanced notice. When I started working with Mary, I had no curve in my neck and my head was forward - ears not over my shoulders. Mary gave me exercises and a sleeping position along with her cranial sacral work to achieve the needed neck curve and checks the curve at the start of every appointment. She has also used the technique of cupping to help relieve shoulder pain I was having. Last July at a chiropractic assessment, I learned my nose was leaning to my right from an injury in my 20’s; I am 65. Through chiropractic and cranial sacral work my nose is now straight! One-hour sessions with Mary fly by. It is so relaxing I sometimes fall asleep. When I am awake Mary and I have interesting and thought-provoking conversations about physical and mental health topics. In addition to sharing her expertise, Mary also shares recipes. I highly recommend Mary Histing and will continue to keep her on my health team
